In 2020 we have lived through two lock downs and various tiers.  Although Covid-19 is still here, it is a good time to begin to look forwards.

I invited people to write poetry or prose on the subject of the symbols of the four candles in the Advent Wreath: Hope, Peace, Joy and Love or of the central candle for Christmas Day representing Jesus Christ, ‘God with us’.  I hope that the contributions will give hope, peace, joy and love to those who read them at this time when we are looking forwards to celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ: Emmanuel, God with us.
